What this tool does
Watermark PDF stamps a line of text across every page. Put DRAFT on a document you are circulating for comment, CONFIDENTIAL on something that should not travel, or your company name across work you are sending to a client.
How it works
The whole job runs inside your browser. The watermark is recorded as a setting rather than painted onto the pages as you type, so you can change the wording, angle or opacity as many times as you like and see the cost of none of it. The text is drawn once, when you press Download, onto a new PDF written on your machine.

- Adjustable size and opacity, so it marks the page without hiding it
Your files stay on your device
This tool is marked in your browser, which means nothing is uploaded. You can confirm it yourself: load the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool still works. That matters here, because a document worth marking CONFIDENTIAL is a document worth not uploading.
Questions
Can the watermark be removed by whoever gets the file?
It is drawn into the page content, so it will not come off by clicking it. Treat it as a clear marking rather than as security. If you need content that cannot be recovered, remove it before you send the file.
Can I watermark only some pages?
Not yet. The watermark applies to every page in the document.
Will it cover my text?
Lower the opacity. At around a quarter, the mark is unmistakable and the page underneath stays readable.
Can I use an image or a logo?
Not yet. This tool stamps text.
