Audit any page or your whole site for visibility in AI search — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini & Copilot.
Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the practice of structuring a page so AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot — quote and cite it. These engines now answer questions directly and credit only a handful of sources. This tool audits whether your pages are built to be one of those cited sources across 10 evidence-weighted pillars, with a free site-wide crawl and an optional live AI test.
Each pillar is weighted by how strongly it influences AI citations in published research, and every weight is shown in the report. The heaviest weights go to Answer Extractability and Citation-Worthiness, because the Princeton GEO study found that adding quotations (+41%), statistics and a definition-first structure produces the largest gains in how often content is cited by generative engines. Schema markup correlates with roughly 40% higher citation rates, and pages updated within the last 90 days are cited about three times more often than year-old pages (TheRankHQ).
Two hard gates can cap the overall score: if AI crawlers are blocked in robots.txt, or if a page is set to noindex, the page cannot enter an AI engine’s candidate set — so no amount of on-page polish matters until those are fixed.
Most GEO tools estimate citability with heuristics. This one can actually test it. The optional Live AI Test queries a real AI model to see whether your site is cited for your topic, shows the Share of Voice (which sites are cited instead), performs a live Wikidata entity lookup, and runs a query fan-out to reveal the related questions your page does not yet answer. Every fixable finding links straight to the matching free ToolsPivot tool — the llms.txt Generator, Schema Markup Generator, Robots.txt Generator, XML Sitemap Generator and more — so you can fix it without leaving the workflow.
AI citation results are probabilistic and vary from run to run; the report shows the exact model and queries used. Freshness percentages are only meaningful across a multi-page crawl. Off-site authority signals such as backlinks and brand mentions on Reddit or Wikipedia can be guided but not fully verified from a page scan.
What is GEO and AEO? Generative Engine Optimization (also called Answer Engine Optimization) structures content so AI answer engines cite it. It builds on traditional SEO: if a page cannot be crawled or indexed, it cannot be cited.
Which AI engines does it cover? ChatGPT and ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, plus their crawlers including GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and CCBot.
Is it free? The full static audit — score, category breakdown, block-level heatmap, action plan and one-click fixes — is free. The live AI test is optional.
