What this tool does
Split PDF cuts one document into several separate files. You can split every few pages, into a fixed number of files, at exact cut points, or by typing page ranges such as 1-3, 5, 8-10.
How it works
The document is read into memory on your own device and shown as a grid of pages. Choosing how to split does not change the pages themselves, it records where the cuts go, so you can adjust it as many times as you like before downloading. Each resulting file is then written on your machine and passes through exactly the same pipeline, so any rotation or page removal you did first is carried into every part.

How do I extract just a few pages?
Select the pages you want in the grid and choose Keep only these, then download. Or use the ranges option and type the pages.
Can I split a 500-page document?
Yes. Large documents are handled a page at a time, and only the pages on screen are rendered.
Do the parts lose quality?
No. Pages are copied unchanged and nothing is re-compressed.
What happens to bookmarks and links?
Page content is preserved. Document-level bookmarks are not carried into the parts.
